Expanding the library through cooperation.
For centuries, engineering and architecture competitions have proven to be an instrument of high-quality building culture. Their importance is demonstrated by the number of buildings and open spaces that characterise our cities that have emerged from competitions. Planning competitions are also a proven form of applied research. As such, they are the most valuable instrument for creating outstanding and innovative achievements in architecture and civil engineering that meet the highest functional, ecological, economic, social and architectural standards.
The knowledge and experience gained from completed procedures can and should be utilised, especially by future planners in Switzerland.
KONKURADO offers Swiss universities the opportunity to co-operate by using the extensive data material for teaching and research.
The Foundation Research Design Competitions also offers students and researchers various research topics on the competition system. They are supervised accordingly and receive extended access to the archive. If you are interested, students can simply contact the office: director@research-design-competitions.org

KONKURADO expands the library of the following universities
Konkurado has built up a unique database containing a large number of architectural competitions. What makes this archive particularly valuable is the categorisation of the collected data material. The targeted access to data of my interest has enriched my research work and should also be helpful to other fellow researchers.
